钛涂层聚丙烯(Ti-PP)网片于2002年作为手术网片引进用于治疗疝气,不久后也在盆底手术中应用,目的是与非钛化/常规PP网片相比改善生物相容性,钛涂层的应用也有利于解决PP在体内环境中暴露的顾虑。许多研究显示PP虽被广泛作为稳定的化合物,但易受到氧化和分解,进而影响到机械特性,即PP网片的坚韧和弹性。尽管Ti-pp外科网片有广泛临床应用,但尚未有调查临床植入和后续取出网片材料的留存性能的研究。
